Cyclists don't wear cleats to the café. Climbers don't hike in climbing shoes. Wakeboarders don't walk the beach in boots. Every serious outdoor enthusiast faces the same gap, and until BERT, nobody filled it.

Since launching in October 2023, BERT has:

  - Sold 500+ pairs worldwide, primarily in the USA and Canada
  - Earned press features in Bikepacking.com, GearJunkie, Bike Rumor (Editors' Choice 2025), Adventure.com, and Women's MTB Network
  - Built a loyal community of bikepackers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts

This is not a sustainable footwear startup with a concept. This is a brand with proven demand, real press, and a clear path to scale.

Why Now

The outdoor footwear market is growing. Consumers are moving toward minimalist, packable, and purposeful gear. BERT sits at the intersection of three major trends: barefoot footwear, outdoor adventure culture, and ethical brand values.                                       
We are seeking investment to fuel our next stage of outdoor shoe brand growth, expanding our product line, scaling our US marketing, and building the wholesale channel.

Our Commitment  

Every pair of BERT is made in Colombia, sourced from ASOHECA — a cooperative of 1,200 families who transitioned from illicit economies to legitimate rubber production. 5% of every sale funds spay and neuter programs for street dogs in Colombia. Since 2020, we've helped over 300 animals.
